The Green Bay Packers have traded edge rusher Preston Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Dylan Holloway was removed from the St. Louis Blues‘ bench on a stretcher after an incident in Tuesday’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Holloway was hit in the neck by a puck when attempting to block a deflected shot late in the first period. He skated off the ice on his own power but then went into distress while sitting on the bench.
Players from both benches cleared onto the ice while doctors attended to Holloway, who remained in a seated position.
Eventually, a stretcher was brought onto the bench and Holloway was removed from the game on it.
In a statement, the Blues said Holloway was alert and stable but taken to hospital by ambulance for further monitoring.
With 1:11 remaining in the first period, both teams returned to their dressing rooms for the intermission early. The remainder of the period was played after the intermission.
Holloway, 23, joined the Blues this summer after signing an offer sheet and has been off to a productive start with four goals and seven points in 13 games. His four goals are tied for the team lead.
